It is possible that we might get an MBone multicast for a VRML BOF meeting
if we ask. We'd have to show the ietf organizers that the level of
interest and remote response justified it since we'd be competing for net
time with already-established working groups. Taping and archiving the
session can be done regardless. As you likely know, POC for ietf
multicasts is Carl Malamud, carl@radio.com, who can tell you how to go
about requesting a multicast session at ietf. I am willing to help vrml
members get on the MBone (multicast backbone, internet audio/video).

I can't go to Danvers but am definitely interested in an IETF BOF/WG.
This past IETF was also my first.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this. It is important and will
likely speed progress & standardization. regards, Don
