Hello All -

This is my first post here, I=92d like to introduce myself. I have been =
rsading the=20
digest for a number of weeks now and also hacking some VRML files in betw=
een my=20
classes and other chores. I have been on the poor boy route making files=
with a=20
Truespace 2 demo/Fountain/WebFX setup. I think that VRML has an incredib=
le=20
potential and I want to thank everyone involved who has made this technol=
ogy=20
possible. I get chills when I think of the what might happen next.

My recent background has been technical sales, manufacturing, CAD & other=
computer=20
consulting. I am also completing a degree in Industrial Technology at Ca=
l Poly San=20
Luis Obispo. In my spare time I teach ceramics and make metal and wood s=
culptures=20
(soon to appear in my VRML Party House) Lastly I have made the Web a foc=
us area=20
for all of my elective projects. I see VRML as the synthesis of these fi=
elds and I=20
have decided to commit myself to a specialty in this area.

I'm working on starting a company called C3- Cyberian Construction Compan=
y that=20
will specialize in VRML content development for commercial, industrial, a=
nd=20
educational purposes. I am at the pre-alpha stage but I see a gesat pote=
ntial here=20
and I will continue to invest my efforts in the VRML field.

I would first like to humbly ask for advice from any willing members of t=
he forum=20
regarding my business ideas. The, long, discussion on copyright has cert=
ainly been=20
food for thought but I=92m sure solutions will prevail down the road for =
protecting=20
property that needs protecting. I am interested in hearing from anyone w=
ho has a=20
constructive comment or suggestion to offer that could help me and/or oth=
ers.

I would also like to share my most exciting VRML cesation, the Virtual Tu=
be Ride=20
(I'm also a surfer). If anyone has time to give suggestions for improvem=
ent or who=20
would like to collaborate on improving the model, I am willing to share m=
y ideas=20
and would appreciate an email back. I would like to add some sharks, oth=
er=20
surfers, and behaviors once they happen. =20

I would especially like some other folks to test it for me. I=92m runnin=
g WebFXb3=20
w/NN2.03b on a P133 w/32Mb 1.6G & Matrox MGA. Anything slower is to slow=
for the=20
tube at this point. =20

Thanks in advance, and a most hearty thank you to the VRML founding fathe=
rs. I=20
would like to buy a round of beers in your honor.=20

I'll be at VRML 95. I look forward to meeting those who are attending.

Sincerely,
Bryan J. Smith
