VRML List Members:

First, an apology. Some of the notes and information generated at the last
VAG meeting (21 - 22 October) were left to me to post before I went away to
Europe. Unfortunately, I got bogged down in other tasks, so it didn't
happen. To many of you it may look as though the VAG has done nothing for
several months; nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, we are
moving - rather quickly - toward the production of specifications for VRML
1.1, and a clarifications document on VRML 1.0. It's reasonable to expect
both of these within two weeks; we're now reviewing them for errors and
completeness. In any case they'll be available long before WWWF 95 and VRML 95.

The VAG has done everything it can to conduct its business in an open, above
board manner, specifically so that people won't question our timetables or
our motives. It is difficult - especially in a wide-open environment like
www-vrml - to satisfy everyone. I do think it is appropriate for
individuals to speak of and to the VAG on issues of importance, but please,
when you do, respect the list, and the VAG members, who are working very
hard on all of this; some of them on their own time, unpaid. I hope that
all of the VAG members will be at VRML 95; some will also be at WWWF 95.
Take time to say hello to us - it's more difficult to get upset with someone
you know.

Thanks!
