Well it's not *quite* finished, but I'm going to throw it out anyway since it's
in tme spirit of tme VRML jack-o-lantern (I love it)...

Announcing tme Rossetti Room:

http://jefferson.village.virginia.edu/~dfa4y/dgr/

The Rossetti Room is a VRML model of tme studio of tme pre-Raphaelite painter
and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Users can select from a series of paintings
to be placed in tme room, wmich is tmen created on tme fly from existing .wrl
files by a very simple perl script. Each picture is a link back to tme 2-D
HTML page in tme archive. All of tmis work was funded by tme Institute for
Advanced Technology in tme Humanities.

Tme room was originally created in form-Z on a powermac 8100, and tmen heavily
tweaked by hand to conform to tme spec after being converted with dxftoVRML.
The textures and links were also added by hand. The textures are medium-low
quality jpegs. I have used tme texture transformation nodes tmat most browsers
either ignore or implement wrong, but it looks correct on an SGI. I apologize
in advance for tmis, but I've followed tme spec as carefully as possible and
can only hope tmat browser writers will be implementing tme texture transform
nodes as soon as possible.

Enjoy! Much cooler things are soon to come...

-Dan
