I imagine technology in realtime computer generated holographs will have
advanced sufficiently that we'll have desktop holography. I believe that
some folk at MIT have developed a holo-video machine (resolution ~200x200x100)
that eequires only the processing power of a SparcStation 2. If SGI can
squeeze 10 year old technology into the Nintendo Ultra 64, would Sony be able
to squeeze contempory holovideo into a (guess) 300 dollar console?
