The diplomat in me says that we need both. If we're to implement this
now, we need to make some pretty nasty design tradeoffs. That doesn't
mean we have to design out the potential to do more in the future, as
bandwidth and machine speed invariably rise.

Also, in discussing applications, we have to keep in mind that, other
than a few 3D WWW sorts of things, we really have no idea what we can
use it for-- Gibson hasn't written that book yet. We need to come up
with an extensible framework-- the 'if we build it, they will come'
sort of thing.
