Well, the Arena browser has supported HTML 3 equations for quite some
time now, see:

One would hope that most browser authors have decided not to support it
coz HTML 3 is still evolving and they want to get it right first
time.... (watch as Adrian tries to avoid ranting about NCC HTML
extensions :-)
