HELP: Running X/Mosaic from behind a firewall

I've just joined this list, and it looks like it could be a good
place to start; I'd like to be able to run X/Mosaic (current version
1.2) over a firewall to the Real Net. At the moment, we've got a
proxy TCP/IP and FTP server set up on a machine on the other side,
so actually getting the packets out and in isn't too much of a problem.

My question is: has anyone successfully done this before? If so,
can you offer any hints? Tips? Pointers? Dereferences?

If you're just going to say: "It can't be done", then I'd rather not
hear; at least that way, I don't know that anyone thinks its
impossible; I might even get it to work.

TIA,
-- Colin.
