I can't reproduce any of these problems on our development Sun (which
is running SunOS 4.1.3) -- and I've verified that the binaries on the
ftp server are uncorrupted -- so I'm confused.
So, could anyone who is successfully running pre3 on a Sun with the
NCSA-supplied binaries (or self-compiled binaries, for that matter)
drop me a note? Similarly, if you're experiencing any problems
running the binaries (coredumps, aborts, complaints about unresolved
functions at runtime, failure to resolve hostnames with the -lresolv
version, etc.), also drop me a note -- I'll try to figure out what's
going wrong and fix it asap.
