I looked at that list. It only shows the codes, and not the characters
which those codes are MEANT to represent. Therefore, it is of no help. Of
course 42 will always equal 42. I don't need a chart to tell me that! What
we are (alright, I am) trying to determine is whether 42 equals six
multiplied by seven, or six multiplied by nine. BBS's list provides no
information in this regard.

Interesting -- Netscape for Macintosh does not map en dash and em dash to
those characters for Latin-1. You would think Netscape 1.1 for Windows and
Macintosh would map those characters to the same ISO codes, wouldn't you?

You could try placing the diacritical next to the character, like "ma~nana".
Unfortunately, the diacriticals are in that shakey 128-159 range! ;)
